Accessibility statement

CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH endeavours to make the website https://webshop.credo-solingen.de accessible in accordance with national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

This accessibility statement applies to the website https://webshop.credo-solingen.de.

Supplement to the accessibility statement
Our website offers the AccessGO accessibility plugin (www.accessgo.de) from DGfB Deutsche Gesellschaft für Barrierefreiheit mbH. This allows users to adapt our website to their individual limitations or preferences.  The settings can be accessed via the AccessGO icon or alternatively via the key combination "ALT + 1". All functions can also be controlled using the keyboard. Among other things, this makes it possible to adjust the following aspects:

  • Font size
  • Contrast
  • Link highlighting
  • Enabling a screen reader
  • Using profiles to activate multiple settings at once.

When was the accessibility statement created?
This statement was created on: 3 July 2025.

When was the last inspection carried out?
The last inspection was carried out on: 02.07.2025.

How accessible is the service?
The assessment is based on a self-evaluation using the AccessGO accessibility tool. Based on this review, the website is partially accessible in accordance with the aforementioned requirements. Specifically, the following points are not fully compliant with the accessibility regulations applicable to us:

  • Barrier: Some images that contain links do not have alternative text, which makes the text-to-speech function impossible.
    • We are already working on removing these barriers.
  • Barrier: Some links are empty or contain no text, making their destination or function unclear.
    • We are currently planning the implementation of remedying these barriers.
  • Barrier: An ARIA menu does not contain required menu items, resulting in missing important information for control and navigation, for example to navigate menu elements using the keyboard.
    • We are currently planning the implementation of remedying these barriers.
  • Barrier: The contrast between text and background is too low to ensure good readability for all users.
    • We are currently planning the implementation of remedying these barriers.
  • Barrier: Some images still lack alternative text or are noticeably inappropriate, too technical, or not descriptive enough, which limits the functionality of screen readers and/or prevents the actual content of an image from being correctly represented.
    • We are already working on removing these barriers.
  • Barrier: Some heading levels have been skipped and/or some text sections are displayed visually like a heading, which means that the document structure is unclear and important sections may be overlooked.
    • We are currently planning the implementation of remedying these barriers.
  • Barrier: Some link texts contain generic wording such as "click here", "more", "details" or similar, which provide no indication of destination or function outside of context. This slows down navigation and can lead to misinterpretation.
    • We are currently planning the implementation of remedying these barriers.
  • Barrier: Multiple identical links placed side by side (such as a linked product image and the linked product name next to it) slow down navigation and create confusion for users.
    • We are currently planning the implementation of remedying these barriers.
  • Barrier: The page contains a <noscript> element that displays content for users without JavaScript enabled. This can create confusion when content is duplicated or contradictory.
    • We are currently planning the implementation of remedying these barriers.
  • Barrier: Some texts are still smaller than 10px. Heading levels have also been skipped. This makes it difficult for users to navigate.
    • We are currently planning the implementation of remedying these barriers.
  • Barrier: Some PDF files have not been made accessible, which leads to loss of the text-to-speech function.
    • We are currently planning the implementation of remedying these barriers.
  • Barrier: Some content in title attributes is identical to the visible text or to the alternative text of an image. When using a screen reader, this leads to unnecessary repetition and can be confusing and disruptive for users.
    • We are currently planning the implementation of remedying these barriers.
